PURPLE SHAMPOO

I've always heard of women using purple shampoo, but I never knew the benefits until a few months ago. One of my favorite bloggers McKenna Bleu was talking hair and I was intrigued, so I did some googling and read up on it. Basically, purple shampoo is for blondes that want to get rid of golden tones, the purple counteracts the gold and leaves you with a beautiful blonde without the brassy hue. I purchased Matrix So Silver Color Care from Amazon, it's mildly expensive for the size but heres the catch, only use it 2-3 times a week! If you exceed this it can give your hair a blue tone, which is much worse than the gold tones!

The results were awesome! I feel like I can go longer between foils because my hair is so much lighter. Below are two photos, the left is my hair 6 weeks after a foil before using purple shampoo, the right is 6 weeks after a foil while using purple shampoo 2-3 times a week. Obviously lighting and other conditions are factors in the photos, but it's a good representation of how it looks in real life! I promise :)

Along with purple shampoo, I wanted to turn everyone on to coconut oil! I realized recently that even though it has escalated in popularity, there are still so many women who don't know the wonders of coconut oil!
