SOPHIA WEBSTER FOR JCREW

Few things take my breath away, but Sophia Websters line for J.Crew did the trick. Maybe that's too dramatic, but I'm okay with it. I am absolutely in love with this festive collection. Although most of the line has quickly sold out, I can still appreciate the talent Sophia Webster has in designing beautiful shoes with incredible character.

I have recently recognized her work making the rounds with popular bloggers and celebrities, I certainly think she is a talented designer and has had an incredible start in the fashion world since launching her SS13 line.

WHEELS & WICKETS OUTFIT

This year I was very last minute getting my outfit together, I really wasn't sure what I was going to wear until the morning of! This is very unlike me, I usually have things planned out way before but I have been so swamped with a new job. Anyways, I actually had the dress and necklace, I just purchased the sequin headband and broach. I wanted to go for more of an evening look, I struggled to find a good daytime garden party dress so I decided to wing it! I was so impressed by every ones outfits and I love chatting about where they found their pieces. It is such a fun theme and leaves lots of room for people to take their own twist on it!

WHEELS & WICKETS 2013 PART 2

Stephanie truly rocks at catering for a garden party! All of the food was amazing, simple flavors all in bite sized servings. I pitched in by making two types of cupcakes, mimosa and Pimm's cup, those recipes will come later this week! This year the Pimm's cup went quickly, it is always a huge it, and we added another game to the mix with bocce ball. Overall it was a fabulous day of friends, food, games and amazing outfits!

WHEELS & WICKETS 2013 PART 1

This weekend was Wheels & Wickets! You can find my post about the event last year here, it is my most favorite party of the year! As usual, Nic and Stephanie did an amazing job of hosting and the crowd was great. Getting all dressed up is so much fun and it could not have been a better day! I have so many photos I want to share but have narrowed it down to about 20, so I will do a two part post and a third with my outfit details! One day when either Steph or I get the time I'm sure we will make a video also, stay tuned ;)

MEMORIAL WEEKEND

I'm a little behind on getting this post up, but oh well. This was Memorial weekend, spend with 5 amazing friends at my cabin in eastern Washington. We had such a good time playing Cards Against Humanity (if you haven't played you need to), attempting to outdoor bowl, swimming, exploring on the ATV, and just having great conversation. We spend most of the weekend drinking, laughing, running around crazy. Steph put together this short video that really explains a lot! I love my friends and memorial weekend was perfect, if I could I would share about 200 photos!

   

LITTLE TALK

I have a special place in my heart for a big slouchy purse, I've always been a fan. Buuut it's not always practical to carry about 10 lbs. of things on your shoulder. So, thats where this gem comes in. A teeny tiny purse is the greatest thing that has happened to me.

Okay, maybe thats dramatic, but I really think it's life changing. I used to have really sore shoulders from carrying around so much weight, even when my purse wasn't full of useless crap, the weight of the leather was enough. This is the perfect solution, but it takes some adjusting and evaluation of what you really need on you at all times. These are what I consider my essentials, and all the extra stuff I was certain that I needed in my purse, I don't even miss! Get this Marc by Marc Jacobs bag here, but I'm also craving these; 1 | 2 | 3

Favorite Lip colors>> I have a million colors, but I have narrowed down which one I have to have daily. The three I always carry are MAC Angel, Impassioned, and Pink Nouveau, along with the lip conditioner.

Relief>> I always have ibuprofen and Excedrin on hand!

Hard Drive>> As a designer, you never know when you will need to bust out the hard drive. This thing is attached to me, it has all of my work on it and I would be lost without it!

Mini wallet>> Stephanie found this perfect little wallet at Target! My Hobo wallet doesn't fit in this small purse, this is the perfect holder for all of my cards and my license. On that note, all of those random punch cards and coupons you're never going to use, toss them. Seriously, clean all that crap out and make room for more important things! :)

Bobby pins & lotion>> Obviously essentials for any woman, my absolute favorite lotion is Curél!

Money>> All held together by this adorable Kate Spade money clip, get it here!

Business cards>> You never know when you'll meet a future client! Fill up this Kate Spade business card holder with those cute cards and sell your business!

Moral of the story? Small purses are the best for day to day, save the big ones for a special occasion or sneaking food into the theater!
